On October 1, 2023, which is "Insho Day," Shitaya Shrine (Higashiueno 3-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo) will be holding memorial service HANKO that have been entrusted to us by customers at Hanko Shop 21 shops across the country. We held the ``Inno-sai'' ceremony , where we gave prayers of gratitude and performed exorcisms.
This year, approximately 6,920 HANKO were brought to "Hanko Shop 21" nationwide. If you have any old HANKO from your home or workplace, please bring them to the nearest "Hanko Shop 21" store. Please feel free to contact us if you have any trouble disposing of HANKO.
HANKO eligible for HANKO services
・HANKO carved from ivory, buffalo horn, wood, titanium, natural stone, etc.
Stamps that are not eligible: Shachihata, penetrating stamps, rubber stamps, HANKO cases, etc.
*Seal Day was set on October 1, 1896, when official documents were required to be stamped with a real seal by a Daijokan proclamation. This led to the spread of seal culture in Japan. To commemorate this proclamation, October 1st was established as Seal Day.
On October 1st every year , Hanko Shop 21 holds the ``Inno Festival'' at Shimotani Shrine (Higashiueno 3-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo), where we give a blessing of gratitude to the HANKO collected from stores all over the country and perform a ritual exorcism. We are conducting it.
