On October 1, 2022, at Shimotani Shrine (Higashiueno 3-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo), we gave a blessing of gratitude to the memorial HANKO that had been entrusted to us by customers at Hanko Shop 21 stamp shops across the country and had completed their role. We held the ``Inno Festival'' to purify the shrine.
This year, approximately 12,000 HANKO were brought to "Hanko Shop 21" nationwide. If you have any old HANKO from your home or workplace, please bring them to the nearest "Hanko Shop 21" store. Please feel free to contact us if you have any trouble disposing of HANKO.
Applicable HANKO
・HANKO carved from ivory, buffalo horn, wood, titanium, natural stone, etc.
Stamps that are not eligible: Shachihata, penetrating stamps, rubber stamps, HANKO cases, etc.
*Seal Day was set on October 1, 1896, when official documents were required to be stamped with a real seal by a Daijokan proclamation. This led to the spread of seal culture in Japan. To commemorate this proclamation, October 1st was established as Seal Day.
On October 1st every year , Hanko Shop 21 holds the ``Inno Festival'' at Shimotani Shrine (Higashiueno 3-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo), where we give a blessing and pray for the HANKO collected from stores all over the country. We are doing so.
