Orca grouper? Penetration mark? Origin of name
Shachihata is currently used as a name for all ink-type penetrative stamps.
A penetrating stamp is a type of stamp that contains ink and allows the ink to ooze out from the surface, making it easy to stamp. Originally, the name was ``Shachihata Co., Ltd.'', a penetrative stamp manufacturer, but as Shachihata Co., Ltd. grew to be the largest penetrant stamp manufacturer, and the penetrant stamp became widely recognized as "Shachihata", penetrative stamps became popular. Shachihata is now commonly used as a pronoun. Therefore, products currently called Shachihata include products from manufacturers other than Shachihata Co., Ltd.
The official name of the general ready-made penetrating stamp made by Shachihata is "X Stamper", and other manufacturers include products made by Sunbee Co., Ltd. and Brother.
For example, there are ``Shachihata'', ``Brother'', and ``Sunbee'' as manufacturers of general name stamps and penetrating stamps.

Why should you not use shachihata for important documents?
Shachihata is convenient and easy to stamp, but it cannot be used for notifications to government offices or banks. Shachihata and penetrating stamps use pigment-based ink, but ink is made from minerals. Ink deteriorates more easily than ink, so it is risky to print on important documents that need to be stored for a long time. For this reason, penetrating stamps that use ink were considered unsuitable for stamping on documents that would be stored for a long time. Nowadays, ink has been improved and its durability has increased, but the reliability of ink is still higher. Another reason for this is that penetrative stamps are made of rubber, so they tend to deteriorate and deform over time, and ready-made stamps are mass-produced, so there are other similar ones. That's one.
